Mission Statement
Thank you so much for following our Journey!! We have gotten lots of new followers and wanted to do a quick introduction to all our new friends!!
Southern Ontario Exotics Animal Rescue started in 2020 by husband and wife, as a Reptile and Amphibian rescue. Our first ever rescue was an Axolotl who needed LOTS of TLC. Our first large rescue consisted of 25 sick Leopard Geckos! And since then, we have been able to rescue over 100 's different animals!
We have expanded from a Reptile rescue, to an Exotic Animal rescue that deals with a large range of Exotic animals! From Snakes, Skinks, Rats, Rabbits, Bearded Dragons, Leopard Geckos, Crested Geckos, Turtles, Milk Frogs, Axolotls, and soo much more!
We are now based in the Haliburton Ontario Area. However we have travelled far and wide to continue our rescue Journey and spread awareness for our beautiful exotic animals!
Thanks to your support, donations, love and so much more, this is our second year being able to do the most fulfilling job!!
We have so many rehabilitation stories that we love to share, like Chubbs the Leo who came in lethargic, not eating, and with mouth rot! Chubbs has since been given a clean bill of health and adopted out to the most amazing home!
Zeus the Bearded Dragon, who came in starved and covered in mites! Zeus was treated by us and stayed in our care until he was ready to find the most amazing home! And that he did!
And don't forget Toothless! Who was cohabbed with another bearded dragon, and as a result lost all but one hand and half of his tail! Toothless was sooo thin when he first came to us, but now is as happy as ever, with a full belly!!
Those are just some of the success stories at Southern Ontario Exotics, and we cannot wait to be able to share more!

A sanctuary for the old to retire with love, a rescue for the sick, and neglected, to be rehabilitated all before finding the most perfect homes!
